Response in Emergencies and Disasters (RED)
A new initiative by Dialog, RED is a set of detailed disaster management protocols that aim to minimize the cost to human life caused by various types of natural disasters. These protocols enable Dialog to channel its resources and strengths to organise disaster and emergency response activities on its own as well as to support initiatives carried out by other parties including government entities.
The first phase of the project, which commenced in 2017, involved drawing up SOP’s for the evacuation and resettlement of people in flood and landslide prone regions, aiming to deal with matters that have become increasingly relevant in the past two years.
